Why
should I bother with church on a Sunday evening?
Manvers street Baptist Church have developed new ways of using that time
of the week.
There is still a regular Communion Service every 4th Sunday.
But we have other ideas:
Celebration Worship - when we enjoy the songs and words of Christian
faith in a relaxed way.
Taize style of worship - when we enjoy music and songs from the Taize community
Prayer
for Healing - An act of prayer for healing of people, communities,
nations and our planet
(which includes the laying on of hands)
The Spirit of Iona - a tme to bring faith and life together using worship material from the Iona Community.
Cafe
Worship -An
informal evening sharing the Christian message in a contemporary way.
Based in the Coffee Shop where coffee is served we hope this time is an
opportunity to meet with people
who use our premises and beyond.
Study
Evenings - These are times to take a considered look at areas of
belief and behaviour together.
That's in the News! - a time to reflect on what is happening in the city, country or world.

and commit ourselves to act with them. Special days for reflection exploration
and focussed concern for others.
